IMPAC or IMPAC, Inc. defines quality,
consumer safety or patient safety, and customer service or
guest service in its quality standards for
mailorder pharmacies or
internet pharmacies; spas, spa industry,
beauty services, esthetics, plastic surgery centers, cosmetic dermatology centers, wellness centers,
or hospitality industry; and
pharmaceutical
wholesalers.
The standards are verified through an accreditation or certification process with on-site visits at
domestic or international sites such Canadian mail-order pharmacies that do personal importation of
prescription drugs. When accreditation is awarded,
the accredited spa,
mailorder pharmacy,
pharmaceutical
distributors, plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or esthetician are differentiated from rogue groups
or centers with bad clinical outcomes or errors.
The Gold Star List is not an
accreditation but verifies that the day spa or destination spa met a set of essential criteria. |
